Please note: this guide is to be used for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad).
To create a route, you must select the green "Routes" option at the top right of the screen (below).
Using the Lasso Tool
Once you have selected "Routes", you will be brought to a page with a list of your existing routes and an option to create a new route. Select "Create New Route" to start a new route (below).
The next screen will show you your map again (below). This map will have a couple buttons at the top to select either "Lasso Route" or set "Filters". For the purpose of this guide, we will be using the Lasso function.
Filters will help you narrow down the amount of pins shown on your map. You are able to filter by groups, address, state, city, zip code, country, pin color or lead stage.
Lassoing allows you to draw around a number of pins at once and create a route from these pins. Once you've selected the green "Lasso", you will be given a step-by-step guide on screen (below). You may lasso up to 69 pins with this function.
Once you have drawn around the pins you want to create a route from, they will be inside the blue shape you have drawn (below).
Hit "Next" at the top right of the screen to continue to the next step (below). The next step will be adding a starting point, route type, ending point and amount of time at each stop.
When entering starting and ending locations, type in the address you want or you may select the blue arrow to the right of the search bar to choose your current location (below).
The next step is to decide which type of route you want to have. Optimize will create the shortest route, in terms of time. In Order will start the route in order of which they were selected on the map. You can choose between these two options from a drop down menu under "Route Type" (below).
After you've selected your starting location, route type and ending location, you can determine how much time you want to spend at each of your customers. You can choose 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes from the drop down menu below "Allotted Timer Per Stop" (below).
Once you've chosen the details of your route, select "Build" at the top right of the screen. Map My Customers will build the route, show the route on the map and list all of the stops within your route (below).
To save the route, hit the save option at the top of the screen. You can name the route and refer back to the route as many times as you'd like.
To begin the route, select the car to the right of the first stop (above). From there you will be asked which routing application you want to use (Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, etc.).
Choosing Individual Pins
Another way to create a route is to choose pins individually from the map. Instead of hitting the green "Lasso" button, you can start choosing individual pins from the map.
After you select a pin you want to add to your new route, a description of the pin you've chosen will appear, as well as a plus button to the right of the name of the customer (below).
To add the pin to your route, select the plus button. The pin will highlight green and the plus sign will turn into a minus (below). To deselect the pin, simply hit the minus.
Once you've selected the pins you want to visit, the map should look similar to this:
Hit the "Next" button to continue with the route creation options described in the Lasso section.
